Keynote Presentations:

“Mercury Myths, Mistakes, and Misunderstandings” by Dr. Nick Ralston from Sage Green NRG & University of North Dakota.

“Utilizing Microbes as Biosensors of the Urban Environment with the Help of Data Science” by Dr. Fangqiong Ling from Washington University in St. Louis.

The council has amended the bylaw of the society and developed a new mission statement that have been posted on the webpage.

Former President and Honorary Member of the Society, Professor Osmo Hänninen passed away on December 14, 2022. Dr. Osmo Hänninen Robert was born on April 30, 1939 in Lahti, Finland. On behalf of the Society, Vice President (Europe & Africa) Dr. E. Hakalehto sent flowers for the services held on January 5, 2023, and President Dr. Z.-Q. Lin sent a condolence letter to the family.

A new council of the International Society of Environmental Indictors was formed in October 2022 for the term of 2023-2024. Denslow (Council Member), University of Florida, USA; Dr. Harrison Atagana (Council member), University of South Africa, South Africa; and Dr. Juan Antonio Campos Gallego (Council Member) University of Castilla-La Mancha, Spain.
