Dear Colleagues,
As the new President elect of the International Society of Environmental Indicators I would like to invite you cordially to attend the 23rd International Conference on Environmental Indicators that will take place at Israel Institute of Technology (Technion), Haifa, Israel, between 9th to 12th of September 2019! In order to expand our group borders, all participants are invited to join our society!
Following the last international conferences, our international organization is under restructuring through younger scientists that replaced those that contributed for many years and had to retire (we all deeply thank them for carrying the scientific torch for so long) and trying to introduce additional environmental subjects related to various indicators.
To put it precisely, the 2015 book “Environmental Indicators” published by Springer Press, being a collective effort by many environmental scientists, proved a great success ( book metrics: ~ 135,000 downloads!). It is our intention for the oncoming 2019 conference to publish a second edition of this book with new and updated subjects.
Among the newly adopted decisions of the society, is to have our international conference every two years (biennial) that has every two years an international conference on the main subject: Environmental Indicators. Please go to our recent published book about this subject (https://www.springer.com/us/book/9789401794985) to see about our activity and find out how you can contribute to our next project.
It is our main challenge to bring to these conferences the most advanced research in this scientific area from leading scholars and their students (M.Sc., Ph.D.’s and Post-Docs). The scientific areas covered are broad such as chemistry, physics, biology, geography, agriculture, engineering, medicine, social and political sciences, economics and I would like to apologize if I forgot other disciplines, but everything connected to “Environmental Indicators” is valid.
In summary, I would like to thank you for reading this letter and joining our society (since 2005) as a member (see attached form) and happy to meet you at the 2019 International conference!
